Going to see a mate of mine tomorrow about making me the barrel and receiver box.
Couple more questions though,
just about fits a P90 box in and like e-company said an M249 1.
Do you just extend the barrel on the P90 for the length of the 30.Cal barrel? Would an M14 barrel fit the purpose? (since I have one of them knocking around somewhere?)
@ Webby, Correct me if I'm wrong but, the P90's trigger is situated at the front of the gun. How does the trigger mechanism on the 30. link up with it?

Via a bar which pulls the trigger mechanism back.
I have a tightened M14 barrel in mine.

Gotcha

Only snag is having the ammo and battery in the ammo box is that you have to be real careful carting the gun around, and the ammo box would have to be right next to the gun all the time. I had thought about doing this, but it makes the gun very static.
Oh, I think it's going to be detachable for transporting in the field, I don't think anyone would design to have an ammo box and belt permanently hanging out of the side of an MG.

theres 3 parts to mine, tripod, gun, ammo tin.The ammo tin is designed as i say plug in and fire and when you want to move takes 5 secs unplug put the ammo belt back in the tin and shut the lid, took me a few weeks to getting working proper, but thats me fussy, and its simple as that ![]()

@Webby: Could you give us a step to step on the Bi-pod? Did you make it? And the shape of the stock on the 30.Cal.

Thinking of buying a KART M14 to put in a 30.Cal, it seems like the easiest option and I may've come up with a way of making sure the magazine is nearly completely hidden.

What parts do you need to build a completly new one of these?
Made out of metal or what? Webby's is a S&S 30.Cal with a few conversions to make it in to the A6 para version.
There are 3 or 4 threads regarding making a 30.Cal, do a search for em...

Out of metal thats about the only thing i can handle...
Contact Oddball via PM he's made on out of metal, some parts you could probably buy, like the barrel jacket...they're about ΓΒ£25 but the rest you can cut out of mild steel. Anyway contact Oddball, if you can work with metal then you're sorted.

If you are doing out of metal, tools needed welder, grinder, drill, hacksaw, files, then all you need is the measurements and work out what steel you need, alot of d.i.y shops sell most of the parts to make them,i have made templates for all the bits out of mdf wood,so i can make some more in the near future, but as allways think before you cut and weld, plan how you going to put it together and what aeg internals you going to use, theres plenty of threads of guys made them etc.

How did you make the front sight, Mark? I'm getting really stuck on that, can't make anything that looks even reasonably right.

I used a piece of 15mm flat metal, then cut it to shape, then drilled a hole through it so the top sight folds down, give warren a call i think he moulds his.
